About Hornsey
Hornsey is an area located in north London and belonging to the London Borough of Haringey. This used to be the name of a large parish but now it belongs just to the district. The area’s boundaries are not clearly determined but it is mostly situated on Hornsey High Street. There is a tower and a churchyard on this street which used to be a parish church in the past.
The residential part of the area is located to the north and south of High Street. New River contains more modern and high-class buildings. Another side of Hornsey is the Warner Estate consisting of old Victorian houses. Priory Park is a nice green area which is open for relaxation and walks to the public. High Street, the main one in the area, contains a great variety of shops and restaurants. There you can see the 13th century tower which is the only remaining part of St. Mary’s Church.
